Oil circulates with the refrigerant all the way to the cold evaporator. The wrong choice, wax and deposits reduce cooling efficiency and harm compressor bearings.
Oil not matched to the refrigerant
POE oils (EAL Arctic, SHC Gargoyle 32) do not work with ammonia, and mineral Gargoyle Arctic oils are not recommended for HFC.
Wax in a cold evaporator
Synthetic Gargoyle Arctic SHC and EAL Arctic are wax-free, so they leave no deposits in the evaporator.
Sludge and clogged filters
Gargoyle Arctic SHC NH 68 limits sludge that clogs valves and filters.
Compressor bearing wear
Gargoyle Arctic SHC keeps a thicker lubricating film under refrigerant pressure.
Shaft seal leaksGargoyle Arctic SHC extends seal life and limits shaft leaks.

Prefer to call?+48 71 359 34 62The refrigerant decides. For ammonia, choose Gargoyle Arctic; for CO2, Gargoyle Arctic SHC. For HFC and HFO, choose EAL Arctic or SHC Gargoyle 32.
Gargoyle Arctic 155 and 300 are mineral oils for large reciprocating and rotary compressors. Synthetic Gargoyle Arctic SHC and SHC NH 68 keep their properties longer.
Gargoyle Arctic SHC and SHC NH 68 are compatible with mineral oils, but contamination reduces their performance. When switching to the SHC 200 series, the manufacturer recommends flushing the system.
EAL Arctic and SHC Gargoyle 32 absorb moisture from the air. Keep containers tightly closed and do not transfer the oil into plastic containers.
EAL Arctic 22 CC is designed for Copeland compressors, and the Emerson specification recommends SHC Gargoyle 32 for them. The compressor manual gives the viscosity.
